Active Directory data

Access through: Administration > Data > Active Directory

The Active Directory folder has all functions to load and manage Active Directory data.

  • To access Active Directory data, you must create connections to Active Directory servers using the Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) connector. To configure the LDAP connector via transaction LDAP, see the SAP standard documentation.

  • Before using the Active Directory data reports, you must maintain the Active Directory settings in Active Directory connector.

Load Active Directory data

Load Active Directory data

Access through: Administration > Data > Active Directory > Load data from Active Directory

The Load data from Active Directory report allows you to load Active Directory data from an Active Directory server.

Description

This report loads Active Directory data from a selected Active Directory server.

Selection criteria

The selection screen of the report has the following selections:

AD server

You can select an Active Directory data server.

You can execute this report in the background.

Result

You can show the loaded Active Directory objects with the Show Active Directory object list report.

Show Active Directory object list

Access through: Administration > Data > Active Directory > Active Directory object list

The Active Directory object list report allows you to show a list of the loaded Active Directory objects.

Description

This report shows a list of the Active Directory objects loaded from a selected Active Directory server.

Selection criteria

The selection screen of the report has the following selections:

AD server

You can select an Active Directory data server.

Result

The report result shows information about the loaded Active Directory data for each object type.

Data administration Active Directory

Access through: Administration > Data > Active Directory > Data administration Active Directory

The Data administration Active Directory feature allows you to manage loaded Active Directory data.

Description

A table shows icons for the status of the Active Directory data for each Active Directory data source. When you select an icon, a pop-up shows the data source and category, and when and by whom the data was last loaded. There is an option for deleting data. If you select an empty field, a pop-up only shows the data source and category. You can define warning thresholds that specify the time when the data becomes outdated.

Manage warning thresholds

You can specify the number of days from which Active Directory data is outdated.

  1. Select Settings.png.

  2. Enter the number for the warning threshold.

    note

    If you enter no number, the default value of 31 days is used.

  3. Save.

Delete Active Directory data

Delete Active Directory data

Access through: Administration > Data > Active Directory > Delete Active Directory data

The Delete Active Directory data report deletes imported data of selected Active Directory data sources.

Description

This report allows you to delete imported data of Active Directory servers.

Selection criteria

In addition to the standard selections, the selection screen of the report has the following selections:

AD server

You can select an Active Directory data server.

Option for test run

You can select to run a test without deleting the data.

You can execute this report in the background.

To delete Active Directory data, select Yes in the pop-up.

Result

The report result shows information about the number of deleted records on the selected Active Directory data sources.
