STAR execute authorization object classification

Access through: Reports > Reports for ABAP systems > S/4HANA Trusted Authorization Review (STAR) > STAR execute classification

The STAR execute classification report is a part of the S/4HANA Trusted Authorization Review (STAR) feature in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software. It classifies the roles, profiles, and users of a selected system according to a selected authorization object classification. The report results are saved and form the basis for the user evaluation and role evaluation reports.

note

Due to the large amount of data processed, we recommend to execute this report in the background.

Selection criteria

In addition to the standard selections, the selection screen of the report has the following selections:

Classification

You can select the authorization object classification.

Classify roles/profiles and Classify users

These checkboxes are preselected and not editable because the report always classifies roles, profiles, and users.

Block size

To avoid a short dump due to insufficient memory, the report processes data in blocks. You can change the block size in which the report processes data. The default value is 1.000.

Check usage

You can select whether the report checks usage. For authorization object, field, and value combination defined in a role the report checks the entries in the USOBT table. For transactions the report checks statistical data. For services the report checks external access data.

note

Selecting the usage check increases the report runtime significantly.

You can execute this report in the background.

Result

The report result is saved in STAR overview classification status.

note

For every combination of system and authorization object classification only one report result is saved. An existing result is overwritten if you execute the report with the same combination of system and authorization object classification again.
