Manage cost carrier hierarchies
Access through: Cost allocation > Cost carrier hierarchies
In preparation for defining cost allocation schemas and executing cost allocations, you can create cost carrier hierarchies in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.
Create cost carrier hierarchy

Select .

Enter the name and description for the new cost carrier hierarchy.

Do one of the following:

To create the very first cost carrier:

Right-click in the empty area.

Select the cost carrier type.
-
Enter the cost carrier ID and description.

If you selected a collective cost carrier, select the cost distribution type for the subordinated cost carriers.

Select .

To create more cost carriers:
-
Right-click on an existing cost carrier entry.
-
Select Create, the cost carrier type, and the place to insert the cost carrier.

Enter the cost carrier ID and description.

If you selected a collective cost carrier, select the cost distribution type for the subordinated cost carriers.

Select .
-
Repeat steps a. to e. until you added all required entries.

Save.
After creating a cost carrier hierarchy, you can select the cost carrier hierarchy in a cost allocation schema.
Change cost carrier hierarchy

Select the row of a cost carrier hierarchy.

To show the detailed view, select .

To switch to change mode, select .

To make changes, do the following:

Change the name or description of the cost carrier hierarchy.

To change an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Change.

To add an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Create, the cost carrier type, and the place to insert the cost carrier.

To copy an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Copy.

To cut an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Cut.
-
To paste an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Paste and the place to insert the cost carrier.

To delete an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Delete.

Save.
Copy cost carrier hierarchy

Select the row of a cost carrier hierarchy.

Select .

Change the name and description of the cost carrier hierarchy.

Make other required changes:

To change an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Change.

To add an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Create, the cost carrier type, and the place to insert the cost carrier.

To copy an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Copy.

To cut an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Cut.

To paste an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Paste and the place to insert the cost carrier.

To delete an entry, right-click on a cost carrier and select Delete.
