Manage warning thresholds

Warning thresholds is part of the Warning functions feature of Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.

Create warning threshold​

  1. Select New.png.

  2. Enter the name and description for the new warning threshold.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • User counts per license type

      1. Select Add1.png.

      2. Enter the license type ID.

      3. Enter the count.

      4. Repeat steps a. to c. until you added all required entries.

      tip

      • You can create an entry for the total number of users by entering * in the license type ID field and 0 in the count field.

      • You can create an entry for users without a license type assigned when you do not enter a license type in an entry.

      • When you save a user counts per license type warning threshold, the entries of the warning threshold are sorted alphabetically.

    • Engine usage

      1. Select Add1.png.

      2. Enter the unit and application.

      3. Enter the count.

      4. Select the checkbox to include engines on clients that are not relevant for system measurement.

      5. Repeat steps a. to d. until you added all required entries.

      tip

      • You can create an entry that indicates the general usage of engines by entering * in the application and unit field and 0 in the count field.

      • When executing the engine usage Send warnings report, the report evaluates the entries of the selected engine usage warning threshold from top to bottom. If the report finds the combination of a unit and application, the report no longer considers this combination. This enables you to combine entries for specific engine usage with an entry for general engine usage in the same warning threshold.

    • Activity checks

      1. Select the checkbox of the required activity checks.

      2. Enter the count.

  4. Save.

Change warning threshold​

  1. Select the row of a warning threshold.

  2. To show the detailed view, select Details.png.

  3. Make required changes.

  4. Save.

Copy warning threshold​

  1. Select the row of a warning threshold.

  2. Select Copy1.png.

  3. Change the name and description of the warning threshold.

  4. Make other required changes.

  5. Save.
