Manage ABAP role classifications

Access through: Cross-functional objects > ABAP role classifications

In preparation for the execution of the Role usage analysis report or Rule sets, you can create ABAP role classifications in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.

Create ABAP role classification​

  1. Select New.png.

  2. Enter the name and description for the new ABAP role classification.

  3. Do one of the following:

    • Adopt SAP role classifications from connected systems:

      1. Select Adopt SAP role classification.png.

      2. Select data sources and select Accept.png.

      3. Select SAP role classifications and select Accept.png.

    • Adopt roles from connected systems:

      1. Select Add roles.png.

      2. Select data sources and select Accept.png.

      3. Select roles and select Accept.png.

      4. Enter the license types for the added roles.

    • Import roles and license types from a file:

      1. Select Import from file.png.

      2. Select Accept.png.

      3. Browse, select, and open the file.

      note

      The input file must have one role and one license type per line, separated by a semicolon.

    • Add roles and license types manually:

      1. Select Add.png.

      2. In the new row, enter the role name and the license type number.

      3. Repeat steps a. and b. until you added all required entries.

      caution

      Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software does not check the existence and spelling of the entered roles.

  4. Save.

Change ABAP role classification​

  1. Select the row of the ABAP role classification.

  2. To show the detailed view, select Details.png.

  3. To switch to change mode, select Switch to change mode.png.

  4. To make changes, do the following:

    • Change the name or description of the ABAP role classification.

    • Change the role or license type of existing entries.

    • To add an entry, select Add.png.

    • To delete an entry, select a row and select Delete1.png.

    • To cut an entry, select a row and select Cut.png.

    • To copy an entry, select a row and select Copy2.png.

    • To paste an entry, select Paste.png.

    • To swap entries, select two rows and select Swap.png.

  5. Save.

Copy ABAP role classification​

  1. Select the row of the ABAP role classification.

  2. Select Copy1.png.

  3. Change the name and description of the ABAP role classification.

  4. Make other required changes:

    • Change the role or license type of existing entries.

    • To add an entry, select Add.png.

    • To delete an entry, select a row and select Delete1.png.

    • To cut an entry, select a row and select Cut.png.

    • To copy an entry, select a row and select Copy2.png.

    • To paste an entry, select Paste.png.

    • To swap entries, select two rows and select Swap.png.

  5. Save.
