Example 1: This is an example of the creation of a local rule with a single condition and action.

Create a condition that includes the check for users who only used transactions from an ESS usage profile.

  • Select 'Matching CPU time usage profile % >= Threshold'

    • Select usage profile 'ESS'

      Enter condition value for 'Matching % >=' : 100

    The condition is met, if users exist who used a 100 percent of transactions CPU time included in the usage profile ESS.

Create an action that considers a 100 percent used CPU time of the ESS usage profile and make sure that the license type ESS is assigned to those users.

  • Select action type 'Set license type'

    • Enter action value for 'Set license type': 56

Example 2: This is an example of the creation of a local rule with a single condition and multiple actions.

Create a condition that includes the check for users who did not log in for a specific period of time.

  • Select condition type 'Last logon user'

    • Enter condition value for 'Days since last logon': 30

    The condition is met, if users exist who did not log in for at least 30 days.

Create actions that consider existing users who did not log in for at least 30 days and make sure they cannot log in anymore and have a test license assigned.

  • Action 1: Select action type 'Lock user'

  • Action 2: Select action type 'Deactivate user'

  • Action 3: Select action type 'Set license type'

    • Enter action value for 'Set license type': 91

Example 3: This is an example of the creation of a local rule with multiple conditions and a single action.

Create conditions that include the check for users who only have multiple special roles assigned.

  • Condition 1: Select condition type 'ABAP role assignment'

    • Enter condition value for roles: Role 1 and Role 2

  • Condition 2: Select condition type 'ABAP role assignment'

    • Enter condition value for roles: *

      Exclude values: Role 1 and Role 2

      Activate checkbox 'True if none of the roles assigned'

    The conditions are met if users exist who have Role 1 and Role 2 assigned but no others.

Create an action that considers existing users with Role 1 and Role 2, but no other roles assigned.

  • Select action type 'Set user group'

    • Enter action value for 'User group': XYZ
