Create local rule

  1. In local rules, click on New.png.

  2. Enter name and description for new local rule.

  3. To add a condition, click on Add.png.

    Select condition type and click on Accept.png.

    note

    Activated checkboxes indicate for which system types a condition type is valid.

  4. Depending on the selected condition type, a different pop-up appears.

    To copy data from another condition in a local rule, click on btn_transfer_data.png.

    Enter description and select option for direct entry or entry in selection screen.

    note

    By selecting the option for entry in selection screen, condition values are to be entered during rule set execution, so the rule set cannot be scheduled for execution since a runtime parameter is needed. These rules must always be run manually.

    To apply changes, click on SAP navigation back.png.

  5. To add an action, click on Add.png.

    Select action type and click on Accept.png.

    Activated checkboxes indicate for which system types an action type is valid.

  6. Depending on the selected action, a different pop-up appears.

    Enter description and enter or select further data.

  7. To save and activate local rule, click on Activate.png.

  8. To switch to display mode, click on Switch to display mode.png.

    To see new local rule listed, click on SAP navigation back.png.

Rule type checkboxes are automatically activated and indicate for which system types a local rule is valid.
