Step 3: Import objects and set up target system

  1. Import all relevant rule sets, rules, profiles and hierarchies.

    Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Administration' > folder 'Export/Import of objects' > menu entry 'Import of objects'

  2. Import the previously collected data from each data source.

    Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Administration' > folder 'Data' > folder 'ABAP systems' > folder 'Offline data' > menu entry 'Load offline file for ABAP data source'

  3. Regenerate reports for rule set executions.

    Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Administration' > folder 'Administration of generated programs' > menu entry 'Generate all execute rule set reports again'

  4. Restore contract data. Since there is no manual export/import function for contract data the data have to be restored manually.

    Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Contract data' > menu entry 'SAP license contracts'

  5. Restore customizing settings.

    Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Settings' > menu entry 'Customizing'

  6. Restore report variants. Alternatively, these can be transported from the source system using transaction SE38.

  7. Schedule required jobs.

  8. For consistency check, run some reports and rule sets on the source system and target system and compare the output.

  9. Test data loading from source systems.

    Snow Optimizer menu > folder 'Administration' > folder 'Data' > folder 'ABAP systems' > menu entry 'Load data from ABAP systems'
