Rule sets

Access through: Rules > Definitions > Rule set

Rule sets are a part of the rules feature in Snow Optimizer for SAP^® Software. They define in which order local rules and global rules are executed for the optimization of user master data. In preparation for rule sets executions, you can create, change, and copy rule sets.

Rule sets consist of defined local rules, global rules, an aggregation scheme, and a license type hierarchy. In the rule set execution, you can apply a rule set to any system or system group. After the execution, you can show the results of the rule set execution or the historical trend of user counts per license type based on rule set executions.

Before you can execute a rule set, you must activate the rule set. Upon activation, the rule set is checked for errors, saved, and marked as ready to use.
