Manage composite usage profiles

Access through: Cross-functional objects > Usage profiles > Composite usage profiles

You can create composite usage profiles in Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software to combine all included and excluded objects of selected single usage profiles in one usage profile.

Create composite usage profile

  1. Select New.png.

  2. Enter the name and description for the new composite usage profile.

  3. To add entries, do the following:

    1. Select Add.png.

    2. In Single usage profile, select the checkboxes of the single usage profiles.

      tip
      • To select all single usage profiles, select Select_all.png.

      • To deselect all single usage profiles, select Deselect_all.png.

      • To filter the single usage profiles, select Filter.png.

      • To search for single usage profiles, select Search.png.

    3. Select Accept.png.

    4. Repeat steps i. to iii. until you added all required entries.

    tip

    You can show all included and excluded objects of the added single usage profiles in the Objects tab.

  4. Save.

Change composite usage profile

  1. Select the row of a composite usage profile.

  2. To show the detailed view, select Details.png.

  3. To switch to change mode, select Switch to change mode.png.

  4. To make changes, do the following:

    • Change the name or description of the composite usage profile.

    • To add an entry, select Add.png.

    • To delete an entry, select a row and select Delete1.png.

  5. Save.

Copy composite usage profile

  1. Select the row of a composite usage profile.

  2. Select Copy1.png.

  3. Change the name and description of the composite usage profile.

  4. Make other required changes:

    • To add an entry, select Add.png.

    • To delete an entry, select a row and select Delete1.png.

  5. Save.

Modify composite usage profile

  • The modification feature is available for the composite usage profile Templates delivered with Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software, including the License Intelligence templates. It allows you to modify these templates locally without creating a copy. You can add or remove the single usage profiles that are included or excluded in the template.

  • Modified templates are retained and may be upgraded when updating Snow Optimizer for SAP® Software.

tip

In the detailed view of a modified composite usage profile, you can show the modified and original versions of the profile by selecting Show with modifications or Show original.

  1. In the Modification column of the composite usage profile template, select modification.png.

    tip

    If a template has already been modified, the modification_existing.png icon is shown in the Modification column. You can select this icon to change the modification if necessary.

  2. To switch to change mode, select Switch to change mode.png.

  3. Enter a modification annotation if necessary.

  4. To add entries for added or removed single usage profiles, do the following:

    1. Select Add.png.

    2. In Single usage profile, select the checkboxes of the single usage profiles.

      tip
      • To select all single usage profiles, select Select_all.png.

      • To deselect all single usage profiles, select Deselect_all.png.

      • To filter the single usage profiles, select Filter.png.

      • To search for single usage profiles, select Search.png.

    3. Select Accept.png.

    4. Repeat steps i. to iii. until you added all required entries.

  5. Save.
