Usage profiles

Usage profiles represent definitions of license types which include all permitted activities that a user and holder/owner of a license type is allowed to execute. These definitions are contained in the Price and Conditions List of an SAP contract.

The creation of usage profiles is a manual process required to add all existing license types and their activities, so they can be used in usage analyses. Usage profiles can also be created for general purposes and contain objects such as all transactions.

Usage profiles are lists of usage-relevant statistical object types. Statistical object types are transactions (T), reports (R), jobs (J), web services (W), change document objects (O), and BusinessObjects types (B).

note

There are reports to Statistical data objects update in Snow Optimizer.

Usage profiles consist of single and composite usage profiles. They are created to be used in reports CPU consumption profile analysisChange documents profile analysis, and Usage profile analysis, as well as in Local rules conditions that are based on usage profiles.
