License type hierarchies

License type hierarchies can be created, and existing license type hierarchies can be edited in preparation for reports and rule sets to consolidate and recommend license types.

A license type hierarchy defines which license types are included in others and consists of direct and indirect relations between license types.

The existing templates for license type hierarchies can be used when they fulfill all requirements. If license types differ slightly from the LAW standard, a template can be copied and used as a basis to develop a specific license type hierarchy. If license types differ widely from the LAW standard, it is recommended to create a new license type hierarchy.
